l worked since 1984, as graduated mechanical engineer, on engineering projects in wide field of application and often involved on the design of the equipment. l managed projects, in terms of: E,H&S, quality/performances, cost and timing, involving relocation of equipment/operations both in 3M and Pilkington/NSG. France to Italy. Germany to Poland. Finland to Malaysia/India/Poland l managed projects of new equipment/upgrade in many countries: EU, China, Malaysia, USA. Managed a green field project in Poland: new building with utilities room (steam, CW, HVAC.) and clean room. lnside the clean room we installed a PVB shaping machine (designed an high performance version) for automotive laminated glasses and relevant auxiliary equipment. Deep knowledge on design/development of- equipment for plastic films (PVB, PET.) involving. unwinding. slitting. cross cutting. laminating (i.e. PVB with PET to make duplet/triplet for solar control windshields). PVB shaping. rewinding. stacking. integration with cut to size Zund plotter Expert in "web handling" of plastic films, with significant experiences with PET and PVB- equipment for the laminating of semitoughned glasses with plastic films to produce windshields, laminated sidelight/backlights/roof light- production line for automotive glasses manufacturing (wind shield, back/side/roof light) including tertiary operations by integrating single machines purchased from different suppliers (EU, USA and Asia) in order to maximize the performances and minimize the required investment. Significant experience matured in the development/pre funding phase of the projects in order to identify the "solution" that better meets the Company requirements in terms of capital, flexibility, manufacturing needs, timing. l have been the mentor for new hired project engineers both in Pilkington and Icap.
