About Massimo Cioffi

Human Resources executive with 30+ years’ experience managing strategic people initiatives at large companies. He now serves as board member of Beaconforce, a San Francisco SaaS startup that has developed a solution to improve business performance and people engagement based on principles of behavioral psychology and neuroscience. Massimo has served as CHRO of Enel Group, the worlds’ 6th largest energy producer with 70K employees and 60M clients from all over the world, where he oversaw the transformation of the Group into a multinational, integrated company. Other companies in which he served in a senior HR leadership capacity include Terna S.p.A, the Italian grid transmission operator, Italcementi Group, and Olivetti Group, a Fortune 500 company. From 2015-2016, Massimo was Managing Director of the Italian social security system (INPS) in charge of pension plans, disability pensions, and jobseeker’s allowances. In 2014, he took part in setting up an equity-fund aimed at investing in the Italian energy efficiency sector. Massimo was a member of Board of Directors of Endesa S.A, Enel Foundation, Enel Produzione Spa, Enel Distribuzione Spa, Enel Servizi Srl, Enel Greenpower Spa and Bocconi Foundation. Chairman of the Board of Sfera srl. A Member of the Supervisory Board of Slovenske Elektrarne S.A, and a Member of Endesa S.A. Remuneration Committee.
