About Mateus Blanche

I’m driven by curiosity and a genuine passion for people and business — a combination that naturally led me to build a career in Executive Search and Talent Acquisition. With a background in Marketing, I started my career in two global executive search firms, helping companies in Retail, Consumer Goods, Financial Services, and Digital Native sectors find and develop great leaders. Before joining Degas, I worked at Vila Nova Partners, Brazil’s leading consultancy focused on C-level and Board positions, where I led searches across Retail, Technology, and Financial Services. Earlier in my career, as a Management Trainee at Lojas Renner, I managed a store with 30 people and was directly responsible for its results — an experience that gave me a hands-on view of leadership and business operations. Today, at Degas, I lead Talent Acquisition, helping the company scale its teams and culture across Africa and beyond. Degas is an agrifintech using data and technology to enable financing for smallholder farmers, supporting them to grow their businesses sustainably. My focus is on building strong hiring foundations, developing leadership pipelines, and connecting talented people with a mission that truly makes a difference.
