About Mateus Cantelmo

Hi, I’m Mateus — great to meet you. I’m a Product Designer with 4+ years of experience in digital products and over a decade in graphic design. Over the years, I’ve specialized in Design Systems and DesignOps, building processes and structures that allow teams to scale with clarity and efficiency. I enjoy bringing order to complexity — turning scattered workflows into coherent systems where design, engineering, and product can thrive together. My approach combines systems thinking and UX strategy. Whether it’s defining design standards, improving handoff processes, or aligning cross-functional teams, I focus on solutions that are not just visually refined, but also scalable, measurable, and impactful. Beyond my day-to-day work, I also lead a volunteer creative team of 70+ people. This experience taught me a lot about empathetic leadership, cultural building, and guiding diverse groups toward shared goals — skills I carry into every collaboration.
