I have graduation, MS and PhD from Federal University of Viçosa, Brazil. In my graduations and MS I participated of the assembling and evaluation of toxicological tests in laboratory and field of experiments of evaluation of mortality and population fluctuation of many pests. In the laboratory I worked with topical application of commercial and non commercial pesticides in pests as Tuta absoluta, Plutella xylostella, Bemisia tabaci, Spodoptera frugiperda, and Trichoplusia ni and non-target organisms as natural enemies such as Solenopsis spp. Blaptostethus pallescens, Orius insidiosus and Protonectarina silveira and the pollinator Apis mellifera. In experimental fields I've been involved in evaluation work of natural mortality factors and fluctuations of crop pests of tomato, corn, beans, soy, coffee, vegetables and others. I worked with the evaluation in experimental fields of the efficiency of commercial and non-commercial insecticides in the pests as T. absoluta, N. elegantalis, P. xylostella, B. tabaci, S. frugiperda and T. ni. In my doctoral study, I performed the genotyping of tomato accessions for resistance to N. elegantalis and T. absoluta. I used metabolomics tools to relate the metabolic characteristics of resistance of tomato wild with T. absoluta and its predator, B. pallescens. I'm currently doing post-doctoral work on the ecotoxicology of insecticides for pest T. absoluta and the parasitoids of pupae, Palmistichus elaeisis.
