About Mateusz Olszewski

Two years ago, I was chosen as the leader of the Science section of the 1st in the world student team building rovers - AGH Space Systems. One year ago, I was the founder of BIOLOGEN project, a finalist of Direction:Space competition. Now, after attaining Masters' diploma for Applied Geophysics at AGH in Kraków, Poland, I aim to further expand my experience. My recently published Bachelor's thesis focuses on microseismic events in Spitsbergen's glaciers, a topic that I continued during my Masters' studies and during measurments conducted near Polish Arctic Station in Hornsund. As I learn new things, I try to seize opportunities to create and co-create scientific projects, present at international conferences, publish articles and win awards and scholarships. I feel best working on interdisciplinary projects related to widely understood geology and geophysics, especially planetary and glacier related, but I consider every scientific challenge interesting. I prefer well-thought-out organization and structure of work. My goal is to constantly expand soft and hard skills - recently I've been working on improvisation and technical writing.
