About Matheus Colli-Silva

I hold a Bachelor's and Teaching degree in Biological Sciences from the University of São Paulo (2017), and I have completed my Master's (2020) and PhD (2023) in Botany from the same institution. I had the opportunity to participate in short-term research abroad programs at the German Centre for Biodiversity Integrative Research (Leipzig, Germany) and the New York Botanical Garden (New York, USA) during my academic journey. Currently, I am a researcher at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, where I primarily engage in research activities. For almost 10 years, I served as a Biology teacher and coordinator at the Mafalda Course (Meraki Association: Education, Culture, and Citizenship). In my research, I have been published with the University of São Paulo since 2017 and now at Kew, producing scientific works, including books and articles, published in national and international botanical and ecological journals, as well as in the field of Data Science. Additionally, I have been involved in leading or participating in several scientific projects focused on the study and conservation of Brazilian flora.
