About Matheus Lopes

Production Engineer working in the maintenance planning area with 7 years of experience in the industry. Therefore, I participated in the development and management of maintenance performance indicators (KPIs), with the help of software such as Power BI, SAP PM module (Plant Maintenance) and office suite in general. In addition, in the last two years, as a maintenance planner, I supported the management of people and maintenance strategies focused on the operational excellence of the Steel Mill at the Gerdau Divinópolis unit, during which time we broke the interruption record twice and surpassed the initial mark of 0.36% in one month with 0.27% and later with 0.13%, the best result of a Steel Mill maintenance team at Gerdau Aços Brasil (GAB). Also, in these two years I led the planning of several weekly scheduled shutdowns, accounting for a total of 46 shutdowns in 2024, 40 of which were successful and without delays. In this context, I worked on planning the major maintenance shutdown of the Gerdau Divinópolis Steel Mill in 2023 and was the main planner in 2024. These challenges allowed me to plan several activities involving around 120 people in each major shutdown.
