About Matheus Ribeiro

With nearly a decade of experience in financial markets, I currently work as a Credit Risk Associate at Citi Brazil (Jun’21 - today). In this role, I am responsible for overseeing the credit risk for large corporate clients, with a focus on the local Power portfolio. Prior to my current position, I spent four years at Crédit Agricole (Feb’17 to Apr’21), where I specialized in credit analysis for soft commodities companies. During my tenure, I prepared comprehensive credit analyses and structured trade-related transactions, both local and offshore loans (e.g, ACCs, NCEs, CDCAs, 4.131 loans, and PXFs). My journey in the financial industry began with internships at the Credit Risk department at Citi (Mar’14-Nov’15) and at the Debt Capital Markets department at Braskem (Jan to Dec’16), where I gained valuable experience into financial markets. My expertise spells over in credit analysis, financial projections, financial products, and industry research. I have a deep interest for credit research, debt structuring, capital markets, and private debt/credit markets.
