About Mathew P.

With over 9 years of experience in testing autonomous vehicles, I am a flight test operator at Zipline, where I perform flight testing of autonomous small uncrewed aircraft software and hardware systems. I am most passionate about Zipline's mission to provide life-saving medical supplies to remote and underserved areas, and I am proud to be part of a diverse and innovative team that is making a positive impact on the world. I have a remote pilot certification from the FAA, and I am proficient in Jira Service Desk and the Atlassian Suite. As a flight test operator at Zipline, I serve as Pilot in Command of autonomous SUAS systems for various flight tests, ensuring the safety and quality of test operations. I also maintain Launch, Recovery, and Charging systems, and troubleshoot any mechanical or electrical issues that may arise. I am the test site safety lead, responsible for implementing and verifying safety protocols and procedures. In previous roles, I gained valuable experience in testing robotic systems in Freightliner Cascadia Class-8 trucks at Torc Robotics, and both Peterbilt and International Class-8 semi trucks at TuSimple. I have a strong background in UAV systems, GIS analysis, and IT troubleshooting and management, and I am always eager to learn new skills and technologies.
