As an Acoustics Consultant currently working at Hawkins Environmental, my primary focus revolves around environmental acoustics in relation to planning applications. In this role, I specialise in conducting comprehensive noise impact assessments (BS 4142 and IEMA) for a variety of industrial and commercial activities; ensuring compliance with environmental noise regulations, guidance and standards. Additionally, I am proficient in performing environmental noise surveys (BS 8233) for residential and care home developments; applying my expertise and knowledge in NoiseMap 5/CadnaA modelling to optimise acoustic conditions and prioritise the well-being of residents. Furthermore, I occasionally engage in projects involving BB93 (Building Bulletin 93) compliance assessments, and post-completion assessments. These additional responsibilities allow me to contribute to creating acoustically sound and sustainable environments with guaranteed results and a diverse portfolio of work. Through my career as an Acoustics Consultant, I am dedicated to delivering meticulous assessments, providing valuable insights, and offering practical recommendations that promote harmonious living and balanced acoustic environments. In addition to acoustics, I also conduct casual work as a freelance music producer and sound engineer with clients gaining airtime through local and national radio stations such as BBC Radio with former experience working at River Studios in Southampton with credits including platinum selling artists Becky Hill and Eliza (formerly Eliza Doolittle).
