About Mathias Voigt

As an Electronics Engineering Technologist I am passionate about new technology and developing existing products. I have gained experience through my placements at Talentcor (contracted to 3M) and Trojan Technologies in a broad range of areas. My experiences have ranged from developing and implementing testing procedures in laboratory settings and on-site field experience; to data analysis and reviewing test results. Developing and refining my skills through formal education at Fanshawe College allowed me to see the transition from theoretical knowledge to the hands-on experiences gained in the schools' labs. This experience was crucial during the development of an intercom system designed and fabricated solely by myself and two colleagues. The development of this project encompassed the entirety of my final year of schooling, and provided me with key experiences in hardware and software development, as well as project management and group work skills. I graduated from Fanshawe College in May 2014, and was named to the Dean's Honour List in both of my final semesters. I am presently employed at Talentcor for a summer contract position at 3M Canada, in the technology development lab; and am actively seeking permanent employment in the Electrical/Electronic sector. As an OACETT associate member, I am on path to achieve Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) designation upon completion of further employment experience.
