About Mathieu Berube
After 25 years as an entrepreneur in the IT industry, 16 of which were spent as CEO and Co-Founder of LEADWAVE Technologies, an award winning Managed IT Service Provider in Canada, I decided to dedicate the rest of my life to Aviation. In 2019, I restarted my journey to become a pilot and by 2022 had obtained my Commercial Pilot license along with Instrument rating. I enrolled in the 3 year Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and Avionics program at the Norton Wolf School of Aviation at Fanshawe, and in 2023 officially retired from my position at LEADWAVE and exited the company. By September of 2023, I had obtained my Flight Instructor rating and began teaching people to fly at Huron Flight Services in Sarnia. I have now concluded my studies at Fanshawe and completing my apprenticeship to obtain my AME-E license. In my personal life I enjoy flying, hiking, camping, and travelling with my wife Jaclyn, as well as just hanging out with our dogs Huck and Finn, and watching Jac spend time with her horses, Barry, Hank, and Rizza.
