About Mathieu Jugnet

As a recent graduate from Seton Hall University with dual bachelor's degrees in International Relations and Diplomacy, and Modern Languages, my academic journey has honed my attention to detail and knowledge in immigration, seamlessly integrating with my recent roles in the restaurant industry. My competence in the hospitality industry has been further evidenced through my tenure at Maggiano's Little Italy and Bistro D’Azur, where my dedication to service and fundraising acumen stood out. In my first year at Maggiano’s I was 4th in the entire company in all sales and donations to support our partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, demonstrating my commitment to community engagement and social responsibility. I raised enough money on my own to effectively pay for an entire trip/experience for one of the restaurants sponsored Make-A-Wish children. My experience as an RSS Intern at the International Rescue Committee allowed me to contribute to the well-being of clients by navigating complex immigration systems. It is this blend of practical experience and academic foundation that I bring to our organization, fostering an environment that values diversity and the power of language in international contexts. During my time at the IRC, Worked alongside IRC caseworkers in providing legal, monetary, and personal assistance such as NJ state benefits, MEDICAID, and food stamps to refugees and immigrants. I was tasked with summarizing client situations and information and research possible routes to provide the most aid possible. My time with the IRC has helped me to see that I want a future in immigration policy/law/analysis and international security.
