About Mathieu Lemel

With over 18 years of experience in the automotive industry, I am a passionate and driven leader in finance and controlling. I have a strong background in profit and loss management, business control, and project finance, and I am always looking for new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow. I currently lead the Material Price Variance function at Volvo Group, where I am responsible for the material cost performance of the entire group, and I interface with senior stakeholders across different brands and regions. In my current role, I build business plans, deliver estimates, and manage a global network of business controllers supporting manufacturing plants. I also leverage my skills in business intelligence and Powerbi to develop tools, guidelines, processes, and trainings for material cost controlling. Previously, I was the Finance Business Partner to the Senior Vice President Europe Purchasing, and I redesigned the purchasing financial indicators to track profit and loss contribution. I also supported the project purchasing organization with product cost analysis and CAPEX management. I am proud of the value I bring to Volvo Group and the impact I make on its performance and sustainability.
