About Mathieu Primeau

I connect communities and accelerate the adoption of GIS through empowering literacy. My success stems from my experience with Defense and Government, my network, my expertise in dealing with ambiguity and complexity, and my communication skills. Educator, Empath, bold and motivated, I help navigate complexity and drive strategic change. Throughout my military career and after transition to Industry, I developed an expertise in Strategy and Design thinking that I carry as a work of love and passion. I seize every opportunity to contribute to organizations who want to innovate in addressing their complex challenges. This is how I can best make this world better. I am particularly experienced in facilitating workshops with senior leaders in National Security, empowered by a network of contacts and partners that I nurture and grow. I am a Canadian Army Veteran with 25 years of service as a combat engineer officer, senior planner, and geospatial specialist officer. I commanded up to unit-level, and advised senior leaders on the complex issues related to information technologies, from data to governance.
