About Mathieu Stawarz

Without proper leadership and management, we are moving in the fog. Let’s clear it off together! Born in La Chaux-de-Fonds, a small town part of the Swiss watchmaking region, I have always been interested in the creation and development of useful products. It started with legos in my room and moved on to mechanical engineering studies at EPFL (The Swiss Institute of Technology of Lausanne). I believe that through the development of new products and processes we can improve our society by raising the living standards. To achieve it, we need technological and manufacturing breakthroughs in the industry. Engineering, Team work and leadership are necessary for such an enterprise. Practice is the most meaningful way to learn these competences. For that reason, I am currently sharpening my skills in a hand-on adventure: EPFL Xplore. Working on such a project provides me with insightful lessons and experience. As a team leader, my role is to guide and oversee the work of my team by leading them in the right direction. I am fully responsible for the choices that I make on the way to our destination.
