Growing up in Tanzania and Zambia I was always amazed by the unpredictable availability of energy, both as electricity and as liquid fuel. It will always remind me of the impact energy has on people’s daily lives. Wanting to understand where energy comes from and how it was made drove me to do a MSc in Chemical Engineering. I quickly found out I enjoy working on the interface between engineering and commercial, especially understanding how the right technology choices can help unlock the maximum value for a company and society from a safety, financial and environmental point of view.
