Check out my website via the link above- When I was a little kid, I wanted to become an inventor and create cool new things. Today, I help companies develop new innovations at an innovation agency, which is pretty close, right? But how did I get here? During my studies at Delft University of Technology, they successfully shaped the rough piece of marble that I was into an (Industrial) Designer. Along the way, I developed a preference for the early stages of the design process: creating 'something' out of 'nothing.' In other words, I enjoy transforming problems into ideas and then into final concepts. After my studies, I began working as an Experiment Designer at MakerLab, which immediately felt like a place where I belonged. At MakerLab, we use design thinking and lean startup methods to iteratively build-measure-learn until we have a validated concept for our clients. We design experiments (prototypes) to validate or invalidate assumptions and make the right choices. Along the way, I developed a passion for sustainable design (for a circular economy) and clever sustainable product-service systems. There is no such thing as waste on our 'spaceship' Earth. As far as I'm concerned, there are still endless opportunities in sustainable design. The canvas is already there; it just needs to be painted.
