About Mathilde Hasson

Graduated from the University of Oxford (UK) and Loyola Marymount University (CA), where I specialized in educational and social sciences with a strong focus on research and equity in education. As a researcher, I aim to bridge academic inquiry and practice to better serve children. Beyond research, I have taught across educational levels; from kindergarten to university (Kentwood and LMU, Los Angeles), and managed educational initiatives for NGOs such as Apprentis d’Auteuil (Paris), Mar Vista Family Center (Los Angeles), and Pandemic Professor. I also developed inclusive curricula for students with special needs at Sculpt (UK). I have authored two theses examining the limits and possibilities of schooling: one on the democratic pedagogy of Summerhill School in England, and another deconstructing the notions of success and failure in the French educational system. In 2022, I received the Social Innovation Fund Award for my independent research on the interpretive divergences between the U.S. and France regarding the “achievement gap.” Across all my work, I strive to contribute to transformative education that truly serves children.
