About Mathilde Roca

I am an Associate at the Carbon Trust passionate about accelerating the global transition to a Net Zero economy and limiting climate change to 1.5C. My work focuses on supporting corporate clients in the ICT, Energy and Transport sectors at various stages of their journey to Net Zero. This includes organisational and value chain footprinting, providing science-based target setting support, identifying and assessing the materiality of climate related risks and opportunities, footprint verification and calculating avoided emissions. I have also contributed towards developing new footprinting methodologies, for example related to connected electronic devices to improve use phase emissions calculations, and more recently around developing bespoke accounting rules for device refurbishment scenarios. I also lead the development of interactive training courses as part of The Carbon Trust’s Footprinting Academy. I am a BSc Economics graduate from the University of York where I co-led York Community Consulting (YCC), a pro bono student-led consultancy organisation, as Managing Director. I also recently started a Master’s in Ecological and Social Transition based in Paris which will contribute towards obtaining a“Manager of Sustainable Development” professional certification (RNCP37011). I am based in London, previously living in France and Vietnam. I am bilingual (French native and English) with conversational Chinese (Mandarin) and Spanish.
