Background
About Mathis van Den Berg
After earning a Bachelor's degree in Theatre and Film in the UK and a graduate degree in Screenwriting from one of Germany's leading film schools, I am now working as a freelance writer for film and television. I've written or co-written award-winning short films, including A SMALL CUT (2020, shortlisted for the student BAFTAs) and BORZAYA (2021, Semi-Finalist at the Student Academy Awards). Specialising in identity politics, dramedies and historical subjects, I am currently working on film and television screenplays for both German and international productions.
