About Matia Roglic

I'm a UX/UI Designer who's obsessed with improving things, and am passionate about creating experiences that make people smile. ‍ I’ve always been fascinated by people. How we think, how we act, and how we interact. At a young age I began writing stories and creating my own characters to study. Human psychology is endlessly interesting to me, and I am naturally sensitive to the emotions of others. I was a creative kid growing up, spending my free time drawing art and playing music. It was no surprise I gravitated toward the University of Waterloo’s Global Business and Digital Arts program, and once we were taught the magic of UX design, I was hooked. Design plus empathy? Sign me up. While UI design is my favourite part of the UX process, I have a soft spot for UX research. I believe that all design decisions should be based on insights, never assumptions. Creating pretty designs is fun, of course, but the most rewarding part about UX design is discovering a user's pain point and creating a solution that is both beautiful and functional. I'm passionate about designing for real people based on real data. Mix together a people-person, an artist, and an analyst, and you have me.
