About Matias Uusisilta

Passionate about peace building, interfaith dialogue and global justiceI am currently working for Finn Church Aid as a coordinator for Changemaker Youth Network and doing my PhD on interfaith dialogue as a transformative experience.Changemaker works in the fields of advocacy and global citizenship education. We advocate for global justice via campaigns and lobbying and educate young people in Finland about global issues. My goal is to be able to provide youth and young adults with possibilities for advocating for social change and climate justice in meaningful ways. In my PhD I study the effects that engaging in respective dialogue with persons of other faiths has on individuals and the religious communities that they come from. I have done my masters degree with History and Social Science of Religion as my main field of study. Likewise in my master's thesis I focused in interfaith dialogue.
