About Matilda Waters

I have a BSc Psychology degree with Honours and experience in therapy assistance and customer-facing roles. Most recently, I worked as a Therapy Assistant, supporting a young person with learning needs, which strengthened my ability to observe behaviour, communicate with empathy, and adapt to individual needs. I’m currently in a temporary role as a school receptionist, where I handle a range of tasks including logging incidents, taking necessary steps regarding behaviour when required, and attendance registers, updating records on Excel, making phone calls to parents, and raising safeguarding concerns. This role also involves daily interaction with students, parents and all staff. Alongside this, I work as an exam invigilator, ensuring assessments run smoothly and that students follow exam procedures in a calm and focused environment. These experiences have developed my skills in communication, organisation, confidentiality, and working under pressure. I'm now looking to take the next step into a longer-term role where I can continue supporting people and contributing to a well-run, positive environment
