About Mats Forkman

I have worked with chemicals from product development through marketing, risk assessment, risk managament, enforcement and now as advisor for regulatory compliance. Experience includes more than fifteen years in the oil and chemicals industry and as a consultant, as well as more than nineteen years experience of chemical legislation at the Swedish Chemicals Agency. From industry I have experience of product development, technical support, logistics, sales and marketing. In the government agency role I have had several roles among them head of the unit for enforcement of REACH, RoHS, Toy safety, General product safety, CLP, POPs, packaging, biocides and plant protection products. I also have experience of managing bilateral cooperations with other countries in preventive chemicals control, as well as performing risk assessments, developing risk reduction strategies and regulatory impact assessments. At AFRY I work as a senior chemical adviser, supporting economic actors to comply with regulatory and other requirements.
