About Matt Armstrong

As a Safety Manager at Sellen Construction, I work to ensure the safety of our tradespeople, office staff, and the general public. Whether it’s complex planning for specific work activities or staying up-to-date with safety regulations, my goal is to ensure that everyone on our projects makes it home safely to their families and friends. Collaborating with trade partners and clients, we leverage our experience and lessons learned to provide the most current and effective safety information. However, safety planning is more than just creating and sharing plans. We actively involve our tradespeople—from apprentices to foremen—to gather their input and address their concerns. Our tradespeople are not the last line of defense for safety—they are the first. By taking a proactive approach, understanding upcoming project needs, and providing targeted training, we reduce the risk of accidents. While incidents may occur, proper planning ensures they don’t escalate into serious accidents.
