There is a thread that ties my dynamic career experiences: people-focused leadership. From my constituents to my students, to my teachers, to my board members, to my platoon, to my family, and to all the people I serve- I take care of my people. High-level Overview:Eight years of service in public education, three years of successful marketing experience, eight years of success in responsible restaurant management, and six years of success in the United States Army. Proven ability to learn quickly, assess problems, and initiate corrective action. Comfortable in fast-paced, high-stress situations requiring attention to detail and follow-through. Able to motivate personnel to high-performance standards and excellence. Demonstrated success in organizing tasks, increasing efficiency, and obtaining maximum results from limited material and workforce resources. Multilingual professional with excellent communication skills.U.S. Army Rangers Background: During my service to the United States, I was awarded numerous medals including those of national defense, overseas service ribbons, air assault and airborne badges, Italian and Hungarian airborne badges, and completed the Army’s coveted Ranger qualification training. While serving I was injured while conducting hazardous airborne operations within the country of Kosovo. I was sent to Walter Reed Army Medical Center located in Washington DC, where I helped to serve WRAMC after the attacks of 9/11. Once my rehabilitation at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center was complete, I was honorably discharged.Education Background:My commitment to education led me to attend school as a full-time student. I completed my bachelor's in legal studies and a Master's in Educational Leadership from UCF. Currently, I'm pursuing my Doctoral in Educational Leadership through the American College of Education (online). Community Involvement: To better serve the community, I recognized the need to assist veterans within the community seeking higher education. I am a founding member of the Collegiate Veterans Society, an organization focused on helping Veterans achieve success through higher education. Additionally, I have served on the Titusville Board of Adjustment and Appeals, been an active member of the Rotary, and the Titusville Chamber of Commerce, the Vice President of the Collegiate Veterans Society, and am a proud volunteer with Honor Flight helping escort WWII veterans to Washington D.C.I am inspired daily by my Wife, the former Heather Martine, and our 5 children.
