Seasoned communicator with a passion for telling impactful stories and building strong connections across journalism, PR, marketing and education. I entered newspaper journalism amid the industry's shift to the digital age. This pushed me to learn new tools and platforms and to also think creatively about how to best inform and entertain audiences. I broadened my skill set as a writer, editor, photographer, podcaster, social media manager and page designer, constantly learning and evolving as a storyteller. Having left journalism to pursue a career in educational communications and public relations, I continue to engage audiences with a clear and purposeful approach to storytelling. I have played a key role in shaping the brand, messaging and flow of news at two institutions. The versatility I crafted as a journalist has served me well in transitioning to another profession that requires adaptability. Beyond my core responsibilities, I've taken great pride and purpose in mentoring, coaching, working on teams and bridging gaps between departments.
