About Matt Bunch

Creative professional with a focus on food security, eradicating hunger and poverty, career focus on promoting peace and security through effective governance. Demonstrated success in project management, editing, research and writing, content development and knowledge transfer. PhD focused on Canadian Political History, Human Rights and International Development from University of Waterloo. I began my professional career as a Chef, but I eventually enrolled at the University of Guelph where I completed honours degrees in English and History, and never looked back. After a wonderful experience at the U of G, I went on to complete a Masters and Doctorate degrees in the Department of History at the University of Waterloo. At UW I had the privilege to work with amazing colleagues in the Department of History and in my work for the Graduate Student Association. After that I began to work for think tanks, charitable foundations and non-governmental organizations in the areas of governance, poverty reduction, the fight against hunger and the pursuit of peace. This has been rewarding for me personally and professionally though the work has sometimes been very serious indeed.
