About Matt Combs

20+ years of experience in Talent Management Solutions* Currently working as a Sales Coordinator and Bid Manager for the North American Sales team of a software development company where my primary responsibilities include coordinating and submitting sales proposals in response to public RFPs in both Canada and the United States - approximately 50 per year. My professional experience combined with my educational background allow me to be highly adaptable within my current industry as well as across industries. Over the course of my career, I have worked in marketing, technical writing, project management, quality assurance and sales, including team-leadership roles in product documentation and software quality assurance. This diversity of experience has allowed me to see how businesses operate from a variety of vantage points and enables me to view the macro-level impacts of my own efforts and production. Also, having worked on projects in both English and French over the last two decades, I am very comfortable working and interacting with both English- and French-speaking actors and colleagues. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New Hampshire with a double major in International Affairs and French as well as a Master of Arts from Acadia University in Political Science. My Master's thesis, entitled "Centrifugal Force: Political Parties and Canadian Federalism", is available for reading on the Collections Canada website. Overall, my educational and occupational experience have enabled me to develop professional-level writing skills that are transferable across a range of documentation and publishing deliverables.
