Mr. Comer has focused on architecture, design, and construction of distributed, integrated systems in the enterprise and web environments. He has extensive experience in Java development, including advanced experience in multi-threaded design, encryption, Spring, Seam, EJB3, and other frameworks. Mr. Comer has architected and constructed innovative solutions to meet customer requirements, including a secure state management layer for web applications, a dependency driven rules processing engine, a framework for preventing the duplicate submission of web requests, and a secure single-sign-on framework. He has extensive experience in all stages of enterprise application development, including solution design, application programming, systems programming, implementation, and systems analysis. He also has experience leading teams of developers and support staff, troubleshooting complex development and support problems, mentoring junior staff, managing development schedules and work assignments, and managing a project budget. He is experienced in software development methodologies including procedural or waterfall, RUP, XP, etc. He also has extensive experience with modeling systems during analysis, design, and construction using UML. Mr. Comer has assisted clients in solving performance and stability problems with complex systems, including advanced database and query tuning, web application flow optimization, memory management, etc. He has helped clients jump-start their own development efforts by training, mentoring, assisting with implementation of processes and standards, and managing projects to successful conclusion. He has assisted organizations with initiating organizational change towards emerging technologies by determining and documenting architectural standards, identifying and resolving issues in development and support methodologies, and by managing groups through transition from legacy development environments to more current techniques.
