Moving into a new role with Gerrie provides me with an opportunity to connect directly with customers on a daily basis to assist in making their machines smarter and more connected than ever before. I have been employed by Omron since 1996, previously I was with Bell Canada for 7 years and started off in the Industrial marketplace with virtually no experience. A few years after starting with the company I grew the Proximity Sensor market into majority market share position and them moved onto a new challenge. As the Product Marketing Specialist for Industrial Safeguarding devices I again helped grow the company sales into a leading position. After the completion of the acquisition of STI, I merged integrate the business into Canada where a majority market share position was secured. Looking for a new challenge a position was created for me as Strategic Marketing Manager where again I managed many projects from Price Lists to a Vending Machine program for dispensing of products within customer facilities. Through restructure of the organization I found myself back into my original position posed with a greater challenge of growing the sensor business not just for Canada but for North America.
