About Matt Dove

Hi, I’m Matt, an Environmental Technician, specializing in field data acquisition using with drone technology and custom GIS workflows. My focus is on serving clients by listening to their evolving needs. I’ve trained others while leading data collection efforts across five geo-physical projects, working in a range of environmental and weather conditions, and have successfully delivered three GIS utility asset management solutions. I’m interested in contributing my creativity in a collaborative team environment, while continuing to expand my hands-on field skills in meaningful environmental work. In my leisure time you may find me out in the community learning and growing my craft through volunteer work. I really do love volunteering with organizations including Mycology Action of Texas and San Marcos River Foundation. One of my most recent projects was bringing more visibility to Festival Beach Food Forest and the work in Permaculture right in the heart of Austin, TX. A StoryMap link can be found underneath the Projects section. Goals for the future include GIS service in his immediate environment, the continuation of gaining field and surveying in water resources, and geospatial coding for further enhancement as a GIS expert.
