About Matt Dumala

I'm a registered geological engineer with over two decades experience managing multi-disciplinary teams on mineral exploration projects across British Columbia, Southwest United States, and northern Mexico. My passion lies in guiding projects from their earliest stages of project generation towards successful development. I've been fortunate to have made significant contributes to a variety of projects throughout my career. My journey in this field began in the Yukon, where I gained invaluable hands-on experience, progressing from soil sampling to managing complex drilling operations. This ultimately led to my partnership at Archer Cathro. I thrive on the challenges and rewards of mineral exploration, and I'm driven by a commitment to delivering results. Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the exploration lifecycle, from grassroots project generation to resource estimation and pre-feasibility studies. This has given me a broad perspective and a deep understanding of what it takes to bring a project to fruition. I've worked on a wide range of base and precious metal deposit types, including epithermal, orogenic, and porphyry systems. My expertise encompasses exploration project design and management, including budgeting and supervising teams of up to 35 employees and subcontractors, QA/QC and data management with experience in developing company-wide procedures, and NI 43-101/S-K 1300 compliance, including authoring technical reports. Beyond project management, I spearheaded the formation of Archer Cathro Geological (US) Ltd, and direct business operations in the southwest United States. I have extensive business management experience, including the management of company finances, regulatory compliance, and developing key operational and health and safety procedures. I believe in a holistic approach to exploration, one that combines a strong understanding of the geological and engineering potential with a dedication to responsible environmental and social practices. Ultimately, I'm passionate about the responsible development of mineral resources and dedicated to creating long-term value for all stakeholders involved.
