About Matt Estlea

I've been a creative person most of my life and have been fortunate to find myself in a position where I now get paid to do so. My goal now is to both inspire and educate others so they can do the same.I am a professionally trained furniture maker that comes from 5 years experience at Rycotewood Furniture Centre where I studied 5 days a week. During this time, I also worked at Axminster Tools and Machinery on weekends as a sales advisor.Upon graduating Rycotewood in 2017, I set up my own business in the form of a YouTube channel. In an effort to support this while in it's grassroots, I continued working at Axminster Tools and Machinery on weekends as well as teach evening classes 2 nights a week at Rycotewood. One year later, I left Axminster Tools and Machinery and went into teaching City and Guilds Furniture Making at Rycotewood and continued to do so for 3 years. One of which was during the pandemic lockdowns during 2020. While in tthe background, I continued experimenting and working on my business and YouTube channel to make it a fully fledged career. In 2021 I resigned from teaching at Rycotewood and began working on my business full time. We've since become a Limited Company and are taking on employees to deliver on the vision of making craft exciting and accessible to all.
