About Matt Fly

While he’s still a young man, DJ Fly is also an industry veteran approaching his 15-year mark. The PA native discovered his passion for spinning records at the age of 16 when he bought his first turntables. He grew up listening to a wide variety of music and his influences include acts such as Guns N Roses, Nirvana, Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, Run DMC, Temptations, Michael Jackson and more. DJ Fly likes to mix these types of artists along with newer music into his sets, which is unusual for the always-current world of club DJ-ing. He thrives on playing music for everyone in the room to make sure that no matter what kind of music you are into you walk away having a great night. DJ Fly's first big break came when he met his longtime friend DJ Grooves, who shared his passion for DJ-ing. Grooves and Fly became popular radio DJs at local universities, such as Lafayette, Lehigh, and Princeton. From there, DJ Fly became syndicated and did commercial radio in Tuscon, AZ, Bakersfield, CA, Madison, WI and Fort Wayne, IN. In 2009 DJ Fly saw new opportunities emerging in the Lehigh Valley and transitioned his talents to the nightclub scene. He realized he can do so much more with an immediate reaction from people right in front of him and so he incorporated Video DJ'ing into his shows, providing an even better experience. DJ Fly has DJ'ed at some of the top clubs in the northeast and beyond doing parties for major companies like VH1. He's also opened up for major recording artists such as New Kids On The Block, Train, One Republic, The Frey, Kelly Clarkson, The Script, Hanson, Gavin Degraw, Clinton Sparks, Aaron Carter, Paully D, Steel Panther, Carolina Liar and more.
