About Matt Gordon

My interest in computing began as a teenager through developing videos of racetracks in the Halo game. I joined the HaloTracks community and later became a Media Director, giving me some experience of the link between business and the use of computers for entertainment. This interest developed further during my university placement year, when I worked as a trainee software engineer at IBM’s R&D laboratories. For my final year computing project, I produced a web app which aimed to provide students with a platform where they could add and advertise their projects and experiences, allowing prospective employers to search and explore their work. The project scored a first-class mark.I am resourceful, resilient and passionate about a career in software engineering, with a particular interest in front-end development and general creative software development. I’m a quiet individual but nevertheless friendly, enthusiastic and someone who is motivated and ambitious with a quietly-confident character. I very much enjoy the creative aspect of software development and am currently developing a web app in my personal time. My other interests include skiing, snowboarding, wakeboarding, movies and reading sci-fi.
