About Matt Gray

For as long as I can remember, my aspiration was to be in sports. The competition, camaraderie and passion demonstrated through athletics energized me like nothing else. While friends dreamed of becoming the next Nomar, I had my sights set on another Red Sox legend - Theo. Even before "analytics" became fashionable nomenclature, I was enamored by numbers and patterns because they could provide invaluable information to solve problems. With the Blackhawks, I am living that dream. After graduating with honors from Penn State with a B.S. in Finance and minor in Business Law, I spent four years in the financial Disputes and Investigations practice at Navigant Consulting. In this role, I partnered with clients and executives to solve complex litigation issues from an economic perspective. At Penn State, I balanced studies with working at the Office of Annual Giving and summers interning with Arthur J. Gallagher, an insurance brokerage, and the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, a minor league baseball team. In 2017, I graduated with honors from Emory University’s MBA program with emphases in strategy, finance and sports business. Together with consulting experience, business school provided the technical and managerial expertise to foster a well-rounded, cross-functional viewpoint. I then joined E15 Group to advance the guest experience and financial performance for professional, collegiate, and minor league sports teams and entertainment venues in the areas of ticketing, sponsorship, technology, retail, and F&B. I am driven by competing as part of a team, continuous personal improvement, and an endless curiosity harnessed by solving critical problems facing businesses. In my free time, I enjoy playing and watching sports, learning and developing new skills and traveling.
