About Matt Green

15 years of financial services/banking industry experience. For most of that time, I have taken on several roles (analysis and documentation, project management, program management, sponsorship) in various efforts, conducted under both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, all of which focused on improving the management of various aspects of operational, data management, compliance, and financial crimes risk for the firm. I am fortunate that my experience at the nexus of risk management, operations, and change delivery has matched a passion for this kind of work. In my most recent assignment, I have helped to- Stand up a centralized operational function to manage ongoing and discrete, time-bounded activities to review/remediate problematic customer data across the firm - Design a new application to serve as the primary workflow and case management platform for the department. This application was successfully launched in the production environment in late 2019, and has been actively developed to enhance its capabilities since then- Mature the business, technology, and change delivery teams of the department in preparation for a transition to their business as usual state- Write and evolve the business's risk and control records to account for changes in the business environment, as well as to documentation standards - Coordinate the business team's preparation and responses to risk and control self-assessment activities, as well as to independent testing and validation of control efficacy. The former yielded a rating of 96% for the business, while the latter resulted in all reviewed controls rated as “effective” - Manage the department's engagement intake pipeline and lifecycle I have a penchant for understanding and mapping complex processes, and am adept not just at managing multiple tasks and workstreams that evolve those processes, but seeing and strengthening the connections between them strategically. I work easily and collaboratively across teams, with the goal of influencing stakeholders to work together toward identifying and achieving common goals and priorities. An expert communicator of information to audiences at any level of the organization, I am particularly passionate about bridging between business and technology teams.
