About Matt Guerin

Supervisor for Content Lifecycle Operations in the Transformation Office at CBC, responsible for the day-to-day work of our Video, Audio, and Stills Media Management teams, ensuring our digital workspaces are organized and maintained and production media preserved to support internal content creation needs. I lead continuous and iterative improvements to CBC's content management processes, systems, and practices, and I ensure that as these ecosystems evolve, we continue to lead and support CBC content creators in their work. Previously, I worked as a Library Coordinator for the same department, as Senior Media Librarian for Current Affairs and Long Term Projects Media Management, and as a Media Librarian. Also I am experienced in Union and Political activism (including previously volunteering as Treasurer of the CBC Toronto location of the Canadian Media Guild, and previous work as a full-time political staffer for the Ontario Liberal Party at Queen's Park (from to 2004) and a political volunteer since the 1990s.) Plus I have experience with Film Production including Producing, Writing, and Directing. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Guelph and Certificate in Journalism from Humber College.
