Matt is the Senior Vice President, Global Head of Tax at GLP Capital Partners. Prior to joining GLP Capital Partners, Matt held various challenging positions as Vice President, Director of Tax for First Industrial Realty Trust, Inc, Senior Manager - Real Estate Tax at KPMG, founder of Real Path Consulting, Senior Project Manager for JDR Consulting, LLC; Vice President - Controller for ORIX Real Estate Capital, Inc; Director of Accounting and Tax for InSite Real Estate Development, LLC; Tax Manager for KMPG; and Tax Compliance Specialist II for Ernst & Young. This unique blend of Big 4 accounting, private real estate development and public real estate company experience has helped Matt develop into a uniquely well-rounded real estate professional. Over his career, Matt has directed accounting departments, created policies and procedures, implemented accounting and tax systems, initiated process improvement initiatives, and led countless other value-added projects. Matt received a Master in Professional Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin. He also completed the rigorous University Honors Program and received a BBA in Accounting from Loyola University New Orleans. Matt enjoys spending time with his family, running marathons, playing hockey and rock climbing. He and his wife Cindy and their three children live in Naperville, IL.
