About Matt Kolb

I have been in the Healthcare business for 25 years in a broad variety of roles ranging from Laboratory Medical Technologist to Senior Clinical Management. I found my passion along the way in Healthcare Information Systems, primarily in the Integration Development arena. I have experienced healthcare systems from small hospital to huge enterprise over the years. I have been both a leader and a foot soldier depending solely on the needs of the client/employer. With this broad scope of experience, it was only natural that I would gravitate toward consulting where I can enjoy many different scenarios and where I can always be learning a different skill or a different angle on a current piece of my skillset. With my background in Laboratory Science, I often find myself involved with large scale Laboratory, Microbiology and Anatomical Pathology interfaces which I particularly enjoy and excel. I also enjoy State reporting interfaces and HIE work. While most of my development time has been spent with the Cloverleaf and Mirth integration engines, the principles of interface architecture are virtually always the same, so learning a new engine is always appealling to me as well.
