About Matt Kunkel

My goal is to leverage my extensive management experience in technical infrastructure, knowledge of emerging technologies, and my passion for building constructive personal and professional relationships to drive business growth. While technology is the tool that I most enjoy bringing to bear, it is the comprehensive approach to understanding business goals outside of technology that make my skills and teams most valuable. I appreciate that technology is the one area that touches every level in the organizational chart and can be the difference maker in the business'​ ability to get products and services to market efficiently and profitably. Having worked in the IT field for over 25 years, I have the experience to be a resourceful problem-solver, leveraging knowledge across a wide array of technologies in all layers of the infrastructure. That includes overseeing support personnel and processes, as well as mentoring IT staff in approaches to troubleshooting and process/systems improvement. I am adept at developing/composing effective use and security policies, documentation and technical/business specifications. My technical experience is focused on architecture design, implementation, and management, including virtual servers/desktops, storage area networks, email systems, and network/firewall infrastructure. One of my most valuable assets is as an effective communicator, both verbally and written. Understanding the insight and context needed to construct communications for a wide variety of business audiences is just as vital as the technology we implement in ensuring that solutions are successfully adopted and meeting the business' needs.
