About Matt Lassiter

I’m a big fan of human centered design as the methodology to move projects forward and engage with the people who are most affected by the decisions service providers make. I have been lucky enough to have gotten involved in experience design, as a matter of practice, early in life. Today I bring about a decade of experience. I have a range of experience in designing for blockchain enabled applications, to government IT systems within defense and health. I have helped define service pipelines for engineering experience, as well as platform design for deployable software services. I even have time working with creative agencies and numerous startups within E-Commerce and analytics spaces. The things I value most are- Defining the problem space with people who are affected by the problem space - Creating solutions alongside those who will be subjected to the solution - Using proven methods of human centered design to grasp the complex realities of peoples lives - Designing elegant solutions to complex needs that align to the mental models of a user base - Designing scalable software or services based on generalized principles of design - Appropriately scoping deliverables to walk the line of quality and work/life balance for everyone I manage.
