I am a professional specialising in the assessment and remediation of brownfield/contaminated land. Commercial and skilled at supporting clients through front-end advisory land acquisition, viability appraisals, development and construction phases, technical design, cost appraisals, contractor procurement and regulatory compliance. Director level leadership roles across operational and technical business areas, key account management and mentoring and development of staff. I have 20 years environmental consulting experience across a broad range of projects for public and private clients including; corporate and property land transactions; land liability management; permitting, planning and EIA; delivery of complex multi-disciplinary brownfield regeneration schemes, large scale civil and infrastructure engineering projects. I am a Brownfield Briefing Award winner and have a track record in successfully delivering complex remediation and regeneration projects. My technical background is in the design of ground investigation strategies, land characterisation, risk assessment, remediation options and remediation design through to verification and close-out. An experienced professional in taking sites through the planning system, regulatory consultation process and condition discharge. I am accustomed to working within multi-disciplinary teams alongside geotechnical and civil engineers, planners, cost consultants and other environmental and engineering disciplines. I ensure that clients receive a high level of service, commercial and pragmatic advice with balanced cost-effective solutions. I am a Chartered Geologist (CGeol) and hold the Specialist in Land Condition (SiLC), Registered Ground Engineering Professional (RoGEP) and SQP NQMS accreditations. I am an expert in the field of brownfield/contaminated land management and have acted as an independent technical advisor in dispute resolution. I have contributed to NICOLE and delivered and promoted technical presentations and webinars. I support diversity as a STEM mentor and actively promote the growth of the next generation of ground professionals in the industry. I have a natural interest in the physical earth and the environment, and I am proud to have a part to play in the regeneration of formerly derelict or disused land that leaves a lasting positive legacy.
