About Matt Roberson

Mr. Roberson, a Registered Professional Landman, began his career as an independent landman brokered by Dudley Land Company in the Permian Basin in January, 2018. In addition to many other projects, he worked on a large, in-house asset evaluation and divestiture project for the Midland, Texas-based Endeavor Energy Resources for ten months. During this time, he evaluated numerous properties across several counties in New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas to determine Endeavor’s leasehold ownership and other interests that had been obtained by the company over the years. He has completed additional short term land projects for Occidental Petroleum, SM Energy, PDC Energy, and Colgate Energy, among other companies. He has performed title work in many of the county courthouses in the Permian Basin. Mr. Roberson In his time with Texas Standard Oil he has worked with the BLM on federal leasehold and the State of New Mexico Land Office in dealing with New Mexico state leases as well as the Oil Conservation Division in unitization, pooling, spacing issues, permitting and compulsory pooling. He has worked with a very small lease budget to significantly increase the net acreage position of the company in his time with Texas Standard Oil, as well as putting together the surface agreements and water deals necessary to make those leases drillable. Working carefully with majors and independents alike, Mr. Roberson has put together a number short and long-term deals in order to block up drillable acreage in preparation for fast-paced new drilling operations. In 2021 he earned RPL certification from the American Association of Professional Landmen and plans to earn a CPL as soon as eligible.
