Focused and highly motivated U.S. military veteran with 22+ years of leadership who innovates and drives improvement. Leader of cross-functional domestic and international engagement to achieve organizational goals. Highly experienced in communication strategy, planning, policy, organizational transformation, department integration and targeted campaign design. Proven ability to cultivate inclusive impactful teams to thrive within budget and time constraints. My experience in the military has taught me several things… 1) people do amazing things when empowered by leadership, 2) just because you’re in charge doesn’t mean you can’t learn, 3) challenges usually result in growth, 4) building and maintaining relationships is a must. Additionally, I’ve learned I’m a serial volunteer. If you’re planning a beach clean up or to move an outrigger canoe just let me know, I’ll be there. I'm a dad, veteran, runner, and movie and audio book enthusiast – especially leadership and innovation audiobooks. Outside of work I seek opportunities to learn from others and support my community. My scope of influence is broad and includes thought leaders, all forms of media, community relations, diversity, adult education, non-profits, innovation, business development, sports, federal and state government, and cultural influences.
