I am a Traffic Management Officer at the Road Safety Engineering Unit of the Metropolitan Police, with over five years of experience in this role and 13 years as a Response Police Officer. I hold a RoSPA Certificate in Road Safety Engineering, Accident Investigation and Prevention, a LANTRA Traffic Management Sector Scheme 12D Unit T7 qualification, and a Highways Safety Inspectors Course. My core competencies include providing immediate response to serious or fatal road traffic incidents, implementing preventive strategies with the collaboration of the Highways Agency, and applying the Highways Act ordinance to improve road safety measures. I also maintain a safe environment for both pedestrians and cyclists by analysing traffic and road incident data and conceptualising and presenting solutions. Furthermore, I have a solid understanding of highway legislation, relevant road safety standards, traffic acts, and regulations, and I work closely with various stakeholders, such as the Department for Transport, Transport for London, local authorities, public utilities companies, contractors, and police officers. My mission is to reduce road casualties and enhance road safety awareness in the community.
