About Matt Rollins

I work at the intersection of disaster response, community development, and nonprofit strategy. My focus is helping organizations and volunteers show up in meaningful and sustainable ways. Over the past decade, I’ve led programs, built partnerships, and scaled impact in communities across the U.S. through my role at HOPE worldwide. I’m currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry at Wake Forest University. My research explores how faith-based NGOs can address systemic challenges, particularly after disasters, without defaulting to top-down or transactional approaches. I care deeply about building systems that prioritize dignity, equity, and long-term resilience. I’m especially interested in the practical side of nonprofit leadership. This includes volunteer infrastructure, program design, cross-sector collaboration, and impact measurement that captures more than just numbers.
